Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 22, 2026  |  Last updated: June 22, 2026

At Whys Ventures, we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Whys Ventures, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("Whys Ventures," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information that can identify you ("Personal Information") when you visit whys.vc (the "Site"). Where required by law, we rely on your consent before activating non-essential tracking technologies (see "Cookies and Tracking Technologies" and our Cookie & Tracking Notice).

1. Who we are

Whys Ventures is an investment firm. This Site is operated by Whys Ventures, LLC. For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@whys.vc or at the address in Section 12.

2. Information we collect

a. Information you provide

When you contact us, request information, or submit a form on the Site, we collect the details you choose to provide — such as your name, email address, company, and the content of your message. If you reach out about an investment, partnership, or career opportunity, we collect the information you share for that purpose.

b. Information collected automatically

When you load the Site, our hosting provider and any third-party content embedded in our pages automatically receive certain technical information, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, internet service provider, browser and device identifiers, the pages and content you view, the time and duration of your visit, and the page that referred you. This is collected through standard web requests, cookies, and similar technologies.

c. Anonymous / aggregated information

We may aggregate or de-identify information so that it no longer identifies you. Such information is not treated as Personal Information under this Policy.

3. Why we collect information

We use information to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site; to respond to your inquiries and communicate with you; to evaluate potential investments, partnerships, and applicants; to understand how the Site is used; to comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms; and to protect the rights, property, and safety of Whys Ventures and others. We process Personal Information only where we have a lawful basis to do so.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

We keep tracking to a minimum and do not load non-essential third-party content (such as embedded videos) or analytics until you have given consent through our cookie banner, where applicable. For categories and details, see our Cookie & Tracking Notice.

5. Third-party services and embedded content

Our Site may include content hosted by third parties. When such content loads, those parties may receive your IP address and set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. The third parties we use (or may use) include:

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties; please review their policies. We update this list as the Site changes.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your Personal Information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws. We may disclose Personal Information to: service providers who help us operate the Site (such as hosting and the embedded-content providers above), under instructions and confidentiality obligations; professional advisors; and authorities or others where we believe it is necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, defend or pursue legal claims, enforce our agreements, or protect rights, privacy, safety, or property. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, Personal Information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

7. How we secure information

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect Personal Information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your information is not secure, please contact us immediately. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission provides identity-theft guidance at consumer.ftc.gov.

8. How long we keep information

We retain Personal Information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you request deletion, we will delete your information subject to legal retention requirements and exceptions, and we may keep a record of your request in order to honor it.

9. Your U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your Personal Information. These rights are subject to your individual circumstances and applicable law; consult your state's law for details. This summary is provided as a general reference only.

States with comprehensive privacy laws that may provide these rights include CA, CO, CT, DE, IA, IN, MT, OR, TN, TX, UT, and VA. To exercise a right, email info@whys.vc. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and you may use an authorized agent where permitted.

10. Notice for California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the rights described in Section 9 under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA. We do not sell your Personal Information for money, and we do not believe our limited use of service providers (such as hosting and embedded-content providers) constitutes a "sale" or "sharing." California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code § 1798.83) lets California residents request information about disclosures of Personal Information for third parties' direct marketing; to make such a request, contact us and note that you are a California resident.

11. "Do Not Track" signals

"Do Not Track" is a setting in some browsers that asks websites not to track you. These signals are not uniform across browsers, and the Site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals. You can still manage tracking through our cookie banner and your browser settings.

12. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from them.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and we will update the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by law.
